This Privacy Policy explains how The Space Between Counseling, PLLC, doing business as The Space Between ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you visit thespacebetween.com (the "Site"). This policy applies only to information collected through the Site itself. It does not describe how client records, session notes, intake paperwork, or other information related to therapy services are handled — those are governed separately, as part of client confidentiality and our clinical intake process, and are not addressed here. No health information, insurance information, or other sensitive personal information is collected through the Site, and we ask that you not include this kind of information in any form on the Site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us through the Site:

Contact form.

When you submit a consultation request, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and any message you include, so we can respond and, where appropriate, arrange a consultation.

Newsletter signup

When you subscribe, we collect your email address (and name, if the form
requests it) to send you updates and content from The Space Between.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the Site, described below under Analytics.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and general location and device information (such as browser type and approximate region, based on IP address). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing a browser add-on that blocks it, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings to block analytics cookies. 3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected through the Site to:
● Respond to consultation requests and follow up with prospective clients
● Send newsletter content, if you’ve subscribed
● Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it
● Maintain a record of website inquiries

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your information. We may share it with:
● Service providers who support the Site’s operation — currently our web hosting provider and Google (for analytics) — solely to help us run and improve the Site.
● Authorities, if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of The Space Between Counseling, PLLC, or others.We do not otherwise share your contact form or newsletter information with third parties.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Contact form and newsletter submissions are stored within the Site's WordPress platform. We retain this information for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, maintain reasonable business records, or for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter, whichever applies. You may request deletion at any time, as described below.

Your Choices
● Newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in any newsletter email, or by emailing us directly.
● Contact form submissions. You can request that we delete information you’ve submitted through the contact form by emailing divya@thespacebetween-counseling.com.
● Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics as described above. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.

6. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the Site.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through the Site, including relying on our hosting provider's security practices. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Site or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
